The drive

From the terminal the car joins the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway (E03), which runs 26 km south to the edge of the city at Peliyagoda. From there it crosses the Kelani River into Pettah and Fort. Hotels further south along Galle Road take longer to reach in daytime traffic.

Weekday mornings into the city and late afternoons out of it are the slowest hours. A flight that lands late at night or early in the morning usually means the quickest ride.

Flying into Ratmalana?

Ratmalana Airport (RML) lies south of the city, about 15 km from Fort. Pickups there are booked with the same form: enter the airport as the pickup place.
